Raindrops on carrots and whiskers on marmots

Furry brown creatures that some say are varmints

Freezing cold winters that melt into springs

These are a few of my favorite things.

Burrows to sleep in through all kinds of weather

Grasses to nibble with veggies and heather

Golden bright sunshine, the good cheer it brings

These are a few of my favorite things.

When the rains soak, when the winds howl,

When I’m feeling sad,

I simply remember my favorite day

And then I don’t feel so bad!

Bright lights and shadows and prognostication

Top hats and cameras and folks on vacation

Media frenzy and big circus rings

These are a few of my favorite things.

Carrotcake cupcakes with snowy white icing

Carrots with hummus and all snacks enticing

Whimsical e-mails with fun songs to sing

These are a few of my favorite things
